A Residential Architecture Project in Austin, TX

The Rae Dell project was twice the fun for our Austin architects because we doubled this home’s size with a massive addition and renovation that changed the look, feel, and function of the entire house. We created a brand new two-car garage in front of the home, changing the front elevation and adding necessary space. Our architects designed a second floor above the structure to house a game room, bedroom, and en suite bathroom, giving the expanding family much-needed room to breathe. A master suite complete with an attached bath and custom built-in closet storage was constructed on the lower level. The addition of a mudroom and laundry space now creates a practical connection from the garage to the main house. The original two bedrooms, kitchen, and living space were remodeled and updated with modern fixtures and bright white paint for a clean look. Finally, we unified the home exterior with a two-tone green color palette and a combination of concrete board and batten panels paired with plank siding. A burnt-orange door completes the welcoming approach and invites you to enter the new space.
