When our Austin team of architects received the brief for the Hilcroft Cove remodel, we knew it was time to paint the house red! This home renovation and addition project demanded big spaces with even bigger accents of color. For this project, our team of Texas architects designed a kitchen addition that would flow into the open-concept living space and open up onto an expansive deck overlooking the Austin greenbelt. The homeowners wanted to keep the front of the home private and take advantage of the peaceful views to the back of the property. For the kitchen design, our architects utilized clerestory windows and vaulted ceilings to bring in light while creating privacy from the street and an expanse of windows along the back wall to frame the greenbelt view. The kitchen was finished with gray wall cabinets, a bright red island, and red and gray backsplash tiles to tie it all together. In addition to creating the custom red kitchen of the client’s dreams, our team of architects added double sliding glass doors to the deck from the living area and remodeled the master and hall baths.
